With its relatively warm subtropical waters, the Gulf of Mexico offers good fishing conditions year round.
The fishing season in Orange Beach generally runs from April until November, and different months of the
year mean different fish are biting. Below you will find a table that will let you know when the fish are biting.

April means Cobia along the Alabama Gulf Coast. Sight-fishing as you ride along the shore looking for the aggressive and hard fighting cobia, aka ling, or lemon fish. Cobia fishing is very exciting. Spanish mackerel and King mackerel start to move into our waters. Offshore for Tuna & Amberjack picks up. Grouper is always available. |

Bottom fishing is good and the weather is perfect! Snapper, Grouper, Trigger, Amberjack, and Wahoo action heats up. Red Snapper season opens on May 15th. Be sure to book your trip early so you can get the day(s) you want to fish. |

The best month for Marlin, Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo action offshore. Trolling for King & Spanish is great. |

Good bottom fishing for Grouper, Wahoo & Amberjack. Awesome offshore trolling for Dolphin & Tuna. |

Not uncommon to have flat, calm seas for days; great for offshore fishing. |
